On the 24th of February 2022, Vladimir Putin (the president of Russia)
declared war on Ukraine. The reason why Russia declared war on
Ukraine was to stop them from joining NATO. Another reason for the
invasion was because, in 2014, Ukraine discontinued support for
Vladimir Putin.
Since the very first invasion, Russia has been at war with Ukraine,
inevitably leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths on both sides.
